Both Bourbon Empress and Miss Rockette showcased their talent and determination, continuing the winning legacy of the Bourbon Lane New Zealand LLC Partnership.

Bourbon Empress Continues to Shine

Bourbon Empress (Prosir x Amiga Mia), a 4-year-old mare trained by Stephen Marsh, added another win to her record with a brilliant performance. Ridden by Matt Cartwright, Bourbon Empress sat midfield before quickening down the outside, securing her second win from just five starts by a short neck. Bred by C & E.J. Heron, she is owned by the 2022 Bourbon Lane Stable New Zealand LLC Partnership, along with K.T. Cheah, A.J. and Mrs. H.M. Cunningham, R.B. Marsh, Dr. P.H. Mitchell, and K. O'Brien. This talented mare continues to make waves, and we’re excited to see what’s next for her.

Miss Rockette's Success at Cambridge

Miss Rockette (El Roca x Betty Blockbuster), a 5-year-old mare, trained by Stephen Marsh, claimed victory in the Saddlery Warehouse 1300 at Cambridge. Partnered by Sam Weatherley, the pair sat midfield for most of the race before finding clear running, finishing strong to win by a length. Bred by G Harvey, Miss Rockette is owned by the 2022 Bourbon Lane Stable New Zealand LLC Partnership, alongside Mrs. R.A. Carter, B. Kendall, Dr. P.H. Mitchell, A. Oakley, and W.T. Smith. Her victory marks another triumph for our growing presence in the New Zealand racing circuit.
