Champions Day in New Zealand on March 8, 2025, was a super successful day for Bourbon Lane NZ, with our runners delivering strong performances in some of the biggest races on the calendar. While we didn’t find the winner’s circle, the team secured solid purse earnings and proved their class on a major stage.

Leading the charge was Kiwi Skyhawk, who tackled the prestigious Group 1 $1.25M New Zealand Derby with grit and determination. Finishing fifth in a deep field, he demonstrated his staying potential and continues to be an exciting prospect for the future.
In the Group 1 Sistema Stakes, two Bourbon Lane NZ runners delivered competitive efforts. To Cap It All and Tale of the Gypsy fought hard to finish third and fourth, showcasing their talent against top-class opposition. Their performances reaffirm the strength of our program and hint at bright futures ahead.
Adding to the day’s success, She’s Untouchable delivered a solid performance in the $120K Pearl Series Final, securing third place. Her consistency and determination make her one to watch as she continues her campaign.
These results highlight the depth of Bourbon Lane NZ’s roster and the exceptional work of our training partners. A huge thank you to Stephen Marsh Racing for his continued dedication and to our partners for their unwavering support. The stable continues to gain momentum, and we’re looking forward to the next challenge!
